FAQ

1.) When will my order ship?

We ship orders on Monday's & Tuesday's. If you'd like your order shipped on a certain day, send us an email and we can work out the details.

2.) What's your DOA Policy?

We understand that DOAs (dead on arrivals) can sometimes occur during the shipping and receiving of live aquatic animals. We take great care to ensure the health of all fish and shrimp before they leave our facility. However, factors such as shipping stress, shipping delays, or adverse weather conditions can occasionally lead to losses during transit.

Dry Good ONLY orders will ship USPS Priority. All Livestock and plant orders will ship UPS 2nd Day Air, with an option to upgrade to UPS Next Day Air.

In order to guarantee the safe arrival of your new shrimp, fish, or plants, we may postpone shipping if the temperatures in your location fall below 32 degrees or rise above 95 degrees. This determination is made on an individual basis, and you will be notified via email if we opt to delay shipping to ensure the well-being of your aquatic additions.

In the unlikely and unfortunate event you receive fish or shrimp that are DOA, we will replace and reship for free, if possible, or provide you a refund.  Please send clear photos of the DOA in it's original shipping bag within two hours of the first delivery attempt to initiate a claim. To process your claim, we require clear photographs of the DOAs. If your claim is approved, we will promptly refund you for the affected portion of your order.

3.) Do I have an option of selecting female and male for live animals?

Unless the fish or shrimp's gender is spelled out in the product title, we can't promise to play matchmaker with them. Determining the sex of these aquatic critters is quite the fin-tensive task, and sometimes, it's just a little too fishy to figure out.

4.) Do you include heat/cold packs with shipments?

In extreme weather conditions, we will add hot or cold packs to the shipment at no extra charge.

5.) Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! If you close to the Philadelphia area, email us at smallworldaquatics@gmail.com to arrange a local pickup.
