Description:

Red-Chinned Panchax (Epiplatys dageti dageti) is a small, surface-dwelling killifish native to the slow-moving and stagnant waters of West Africa. This species is best known for the distinctive red coloration along the underside of the jaw and throat in males, contrasted by a sleek, torpedo-shaped body with subtle iridescent hues.

A peaceful and hardy species, the Red-Chinned Panchax is well-suited to community aquariums with calm tankmates and ample surface cover. They prefer well-planted tanks with subdued lighting and a tight-fitting lid, as they are known jumpers. These killifish thrive in soft to moderately hard water and are relatively easy to care for, making them a suitable choice for both novice and experienced aquarists.
